Heat wave in Green Brook Park

A pond in the park. Geese taking a dip. Sounds good. And at first glance it looks good.

Close-up the Canada geese are as miserable in the summer heat as are the rest of Plainfield's citizens.

There's just one small "swimming hole" in the ultra green pond scum.
Poland Spring it isn't. Or is it?
Down at the muddy shoreline ... a cast off gallon jug that once held clear water ... is beached in the muck.
