Library Asks 'Food for Fines'

It's time to dust off those library books you kept meaning to take back. Return them now for a good cause.

The Plainfield Public Library is offering patrons who owe overdue fines to pay them with food. Any non-perishble food item will be accepted.

The prevailing exchange rate is one (1) canned item = $1.00.

The "food for fines" offer is good until until Friday, December 16th. All canned food collected by the library will be donated to Plainfield service organizations.
