Grackles Arrive

A sure sign of spring in the Northeast is the return of the Boat-tailed Grackle, a large black bird with many interesting habits. Yesyerday I heard the familiar "gggrackk-ll" call and looked up to se some new arrivals in the large ash tree at the rear of our lot.
