Master Plan up for Talks Oct. 23

The Planning Board has been toiling for months on aspects of the city's master plan. According to a legal notice, the master plan will be discussed at a Planning Board meeting 8 p.m. on Oct. 23.
Please note this is a change in the board's schedule, as the meeting was originally posted for Thursday. However, the budget advisory committee and City Council will be holding deliberations Thursday in City Hall Library, where the board normally meets.

I would be interested to know how many times the zoning board meet in a year. I have heard that it takes citizens many months to get things approved because the board decides not to meet one month, and not necessarily for an emergency.

Shouldn't all boards meet every month? There are plenty of citizens that are willing to put in the time every month, and I find not meeting in a month, as opposed to rescheduling is unacceptable. I wonder if this habit permeates other boards.
