Hit-and-run teddy bear?

Cutting from Woodland to Park across upper Prospect Avenue, I braked for bear. Oh dear, what could have happened to Teddy? Was he a victim of a hit-and-run?

No. No marks were visible. I guess Teddy didn't experience any violent encounters, just neglect or disinterest -- neither of which I understand.

Where I come from a teddy bear is a dear and lifelong family member, always loved no matter how worn or frail. And so it was a sad moment to see this sweet one casually cast aside.
