Greetings from the Emerald City

After a delay in Newark, my flight finally got going. Somewhere around the Cascades, the clouds parted to show the snow-capped ranges. Descending over Seattle, I saw the iconic Space Needle. The picture above gets a photo credit by former Plainfielder Audrey Zekonis.
Seattle is in growing zone 8, which means camellias, calla lilies and about a zillion other colorful flowers abound. Audrey and I took a walk around the neighborhood and marveled at the array of things in bloom.

Audrey and Peter live near Lake Washington and the hilly blocks offer vistas that seem to pop up magically.
More later - hope all is well in the Queen City.
