Free at Last

Ten days of impersonating Queen Elizabeth left Mousie with a strong distaste for the era and the modern-day plastic collar of the same name. Once again able to scratch, lick, eat, drink and groom at will, Mousie is king of all he surveys.

And he now weighs nine pounds, up from 2.9 when he was a feral waif on Nov. 20.

Thanks to all who sent him good wishes after his emergency surgery. And special thanks to the kitty godmother who helped out with the cost.
