Hearing on City Master Plan Thursday

My recent tribulations in getting my newspaper delivered apparently resulted in my missing a legal notice about a hearing on the proposed master plan for the city.

Here is the text of the legal notice, as fished up on the New Jersey Press Association web site, which now publishes legal notices:

The City of Plainfield Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Thursday, May 7, 2009 regarding the proposed master plan for the City of Plainfield. This meeting will be held at 8:00 P.M. at the YWCA Meeting Room, 232 East Front Street, Plainfield. The hearing will NOT be held at the City Hall Library. All citizens who wish to advise the Board of their concerns, comments and issues regarding the draft Master Plan are invited to speak at the hearing. The Board intends to listen to citizen comments. No formal action will be taken on the master plan at this hearing. All master plan documents are available for public inspection at the Division of Planning, 515 Watchung Avenue, Room 202, Plainfield, New Jersey, 07060 between 9:00 A.M. and 4:30 P.M. For further assistance please call 908-753-3486.

Please note the change of venue. This notice ran on April 27, but I just found out about the meeting through an e-mail today. Anyone who can should check out the document, or if you have a special concern about the city's future development, here's your chance to make it known to planning officials.
