Having retired almost six years ago from the print media, I will leave it up to others to post primary election results.

On the other hand, if I can get unofficial results from runners after the polls' closings, I will report.

Keep in mind that any numbers posted tonight are subject to verification by the Union County Clerk next Monday.

The way it usually goes, runners for the various campaigns usually have the numbers before the city clerk gives her report.

In the biennial contest, there are 68 Democratic City Committee seats in dispute. The majority winner will have sway over the election of the next City Committee Chairman on June 8. The elected chairperson will then serve for two years. These results are normally not known on primary night, but Plaintalker will follow up.

For now, I await the voice of the people.
