Nancy Piwowar recently raised concerns that demolition crews might take down the wrong building when this site was slated for removal, noting past instances of mistaken identity with historic sites.Not to worry, someone marked the site with big spray-painted numbers.
We still wonder whether the very nice slate roof of the smaller building on the site will be reclained for another use.

I love historic as much as the next guy, but cost-benefit must be considered at times. Handling slate is VERY difficult and from experience, I was much happier shoveling my concrete walk versus the slate section. Sign me "everything from the old days was not so great"
