Short Notice Olympics

Vying for the Short Notice Prize this weekend, the mayor made up a flyer about the 4th Annual Community Fun Day Saturday at five city recreational areas, but as of my visit to City Hall Thursday it was not on the informational table in the City Hall rotunda. It was posted today on the city web site under Community Events. Click here to see the flyer.

Not to be outdone, Assemblyman Jerry Green on his blog gave less than 24-hour notice of a big political event Saturday called "Yes We Can 2.0." Click here for details.

You go, Plainfield RDOs!

Here's my question, Bernice: Will the mayor and the assemblyman have to hijack the senior center bus and kidnap some seniors to get them to each event? Will the mayor FINALLY get to show everyone The Fast and the Furious, the film she desperately wants families to see as part of a "bonding" experience? Will the assemblyman's big political event rally enough Plainfielders to put Corzine over the top so that he can win this election? Is he really cynical enough to think that the "Yes We Can 2.0" pandering will work here, and that will Plainfielders think Corzine is Obama?

To 11:01 pm - it certainly will put Plainfield over the top - actually, I think we are already over the top!!!!

This may just be the event that splits Jerry and Sharon apart!

They may end up fighting over that senior citizen bus! "I want to exploit the seniors!" "No, it's my turn!" "No, me!"

I wouldn't be surprised.
